If you are purchasing a property in Welshpool (or anywhere in England and Wales), for more than £125,000, you will be subject to Stamp Duty Land Tax (or SDLT for short). This tax is calculated in brackets, like the UK income tax system. When you get a quote with us, we calculate the Stamp Duty (SDLT) you’ll have to pay for you.

Our online conveyancing service means there is no need to visit our offices – unless you want to. We offer an unbeatable personal service – all our conveyancers are available by phone 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday. You’ll also receive an online case tracking login, so you can stay updated with the progress of your transaction 24/7.
A sale transaction in Welshpool can take anywhere between 4 weeks – 3 months, dependent on a number of different factors. Our conveyancers work very quickly and have some of the fastest timelines in the country. Certain factors can slow transactions down, for example the speed of the other property lawyer or the mortgage lender. Our highly-experienced solicitors are focused on completing the legal process as quickly as possible. For more information, please see our “how long does conveyancing take” page.
Welshpool (Welsh: Y Trallwng) is a town in Wales, historically in the county of Montgomeryshire, but currently administered as part of the unitary authority of Powys. The town is 4 miles (6 km) from the Wales–England border and low-lying on the River Severn; its Welsh language name Y Trallwng literally means “the marshy or sinking land”. Welshpool is the fourth largest town in Powys.
In English it was initially known as Pool but its name was changed to Welshpool in 1835 to distinguish it from the English town of Poole. It has a population of 6,664 (United Kingdom Census 2011), contains much Georgian architecture and is just north of Powis Castle.
Powys is a principal area, local-government county and preserved county in Mid Wales. It is named after the successor Kingdom of Powys, which formed after the Romans withdrew from Britain.
We don't want you to just take our word for it, we believe that the best way to showcase the quality of our conveyancing services is to share the feedback of our satisfied customers who have experienced first-hand the exceptional service, expertise, and transparency we offer at Property Transaction.
