Aberdare (/ˌæbərˈdɛər/ ab-ər-DAIR;[1]Welsh: Aberdâr) is a town in the Cynon Valley area of Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales, at the confluence of the Rivers Dare (Dâr) and Cynon.
